Job summary

Break Time Shift Leaders play a key role in the management and operations of Break Time Convenience Store. They support daily reporting, banking, inventory, and storefront upkeep while promoting food service and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are energetic, reliable, and ready to supervise shifts in the absence of the manager, with a focus on teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with adequate transportation to/from bank.
• Flexible availability including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Works well individually and in leading a team.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and shift reports.
• Ability to learn new concepts and operate office productivity machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers.
• Assist in daily store operations including reporting, banking, inventory, and bookkeeping.
• Support merchandising, pricing, promotions, and restocking.
• Supervise assigned shifts in the manager's absence; train new employees.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Understand store finances and help meet goals for sales and controllable expenses.
• Promote food service and food safety; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Utilize store technology and perform shift reports and calculations.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
