Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or catering is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions effectively.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
• Reliability and punctuality for event scheduling.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on event bookings.
• Willingness to adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.
• Must be located in or able to reliably commute to Welkom, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner during events.
• Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, and service areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, plating, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
• Interact with guests, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Replenish food and beverage stations as needed throughout events.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately if working as a server or bartender.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth event execution.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
