Placements24 is seeking a Corporate Event Caterer to lead catering for corporate events in Welkom, Free State. You will coordinate with clients, plan menus, manage on-site execution, and oversee staff and logistics to deliver exceptional events.

The role requires 4+ years in catering or event management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. A hospitality/event management certification is a plus, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of catering/event management experience focused on corporate clients.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong understanding of menu planning, food service, and event logistics.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with event management software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute catering services for corporate events, ensuring all logistical requirements are met.
• Liaise directly with corporate clients to understand objectives, dietary needs, and requests.
• Develop customized menus and service packages tailored to corporate clients' needs and budgets.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Manage on-site event setup, service staff, and flow for a smooth execution.
• Oversee inventory, ordering of supplies, and efficient use of resources.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout catering operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during events to ensure client satisfaction.
