Job summary

Encore Global in Hartford, CT is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while delivering complete customer satisfaction. The role reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.

You’ll handle equipment setup and breakdown, ensure on-site client meetings go smoothly, troubleshoot issues, manage paperwork, and coordinate with hotel staff and outside vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic audiovisual equipment as listed in qualifications.
• Exceeds customer expectations and maintains positive client relationships on site.
• Troubleshoots equipment and software issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Completes system entries and paperwork accurately; collaborates with staff and vendors.
• Works with clients to finalize invoices and supports up-selling where appropriate.
