The position emphasizes observing and documenting children's growth, maintaining records, attending staff meetings, and collaborating with families.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDA or enroll immediately in CDA program.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a car available on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in the classroom and interact with children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Assist in observing, screening, assessing, and documenting children's growth and development.
• Assist in carrying out administrative duties as delegated by the teacher.
• Assume Teacher responsibilities in the absence of the Teacher.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records or reports, including daily attendance and in-kind records.
• Participate in weekly Center staff meetings and trainings.
• Encourage and coordinate parent and volunteer involvement; conduct Home Visits and Parent/Teacher conferences as requested.
• Perform any other Head Start tasks as delegated by Teacher or management
