Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or enrollment in CDA program.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a car available on a daily basis.
• Must be able to read and write sufficiently to maintain proper records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in the classroom and interact with children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Assist the Teacher in observing, screening, assessing, and documenting children's growth and development; document observations.
• Assist in carrying out administrative duties as delegated by the teacher.
• Assume Teacher responsibilities in the absence of the Teacher.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records or reports, including daily attendance and in-kind records.
• Participate in weekly Center staff meetings and other requested meetings; attend trainings and workshops.
• Encourage and coordinate parent and volunteer involvement; accompany Teacher on Home Visits and Parent/Teacher conferences; coordinate classroom volunteer program.
