Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Head Start program by helping plan and implement educational activities and by observing and documenting children's growth.

The role requires assisting with administrative duties and attending meetings with staff and families. Qualified candidates must have or be enrolled in a CDA program and hold a HS diploma or GED, plus access to a car for daily commuting.

Qualifications

• Must have or enroll immediately in CDA program or early childhood coursework leading to an associate or bachelor degree.
• Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have a car available on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in the classroom and interact with children developmentally.
• Assist the Teacher in observing, screening, assessing, and documenting children's growth and development; record observations.
• Carry out administrative duties as delegated by the teacher and maintain records.
