Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help customers with questions in a fast-paced environment.

You will organize merchandise, perform opening/closing, and ensure store standards. Responsibilities include payroll records, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, friendly store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, and record-keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Follow safety policies and supervise/store associates.
• Provide training and development for Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
