Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, and maintaining store standards.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures, process directives, and manage displays and loss prevention. The role involves supervising and training Store Associates, ensuring a safe and friendly

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
