Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and training Store Associates to maintain high standards of service.

The role emphasizes opening/closing procedures, merchandise care, and protecting store assets while fostering a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives, maintain fixtures, and manage displays.
• Maintain store areas and ensure security of assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling duties.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
