Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays remain up-to-date.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. You will participate in opening/closing, payroll and scheduling tasks, and help train store associates while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain directives clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Maintain merchandise and organize stockroom to sales floor areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, record-keeping.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas.
• Protect assets including store cash and follow safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean; restock and tidy rest of store.
• Other duties as assigned.
