Job summary

Tulsa Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to deliver compassionate, high-quality resident care.

The ADON will supervise nursing staff, participate in QAPI activities, lead committees, ensure regulatory compliance and infection control, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum three years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Knowledgeable of long-term care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interprets and communicates policies to nursing staff and monitors practices.
• Participates in management meetings to discuss census, resident status, complaints, or concerns.
• Evaluates nursing personnel performance and applies policies.
• Participates in QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed.
• Serves on or participates in facility committees as appointed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate, quality care and nursing supervision.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, and community agencies to improve services.
• Oversees nursing schedules to meet resident needs and regulatory/budget standards.
• Participates in recruitment, hiring, and termination of nursing staff.
• Trains and monitors in-service education for nursing staff.
• Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
• Monitors and implements infection control programs in line with guidelines.
