Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is hiring a Distribution Lead at our Alameda, CA roasting plant. You will guide a shift of 9+ associates, focus on safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate with supervisors to meet customer orders.

This hourly role requires hands‑on leadership, strong problem solving, and a commitment to Peet’s values. You will coach staff, manage labor allocation, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring GMP standards and FIFO fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a group of 9+ people.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; WMS and RFID scan experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow written instructions in English.
• Forklift/electric pallet jack certified.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
• Must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift with safety and quality focus.
• Coach associates and conduct performance reviews.
• Monitor KPIs and drive productivity.
• Ensure FIFO fulfillment and minimize aging / rework.
• Coordinate with production and customer service on orders.
• Maintain inventory controls and cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment and lead 8+ hour shifts.
