Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Distribution Team Manager for the Alameda Roasting Plant. You will lead daily warehouse operations, oversee scoring metrics, and coach a team to meet safety, quality, and service goals. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional alignment.

The position offers onsite work with a strong focus on people development, operational excellence, and adherence to company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own all Safety, Quality, Production, Cost, Service and Cost Metrics for your area.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service goals.
• Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor, supporting daily operations and removing barriers that impact team success.
• Foster a positive, engaged, and inclusive work environment by recognizing performance, resolving conflicts, and developing future leaders.
• Analyze operational data and key performance metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and drive process improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety and quality standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve inventory accuracy, and meet customer service expectations.
• Develop team capability through training, coaching, and succession planning to build a skilled and self-sufficient workforce.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by driving operational excellence and delivering measurable business results.
