Benhaven Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

The part-time DSP role covers morning hours including weekdays and weekend shifts, with a focus on daily living activities and individualized support plans. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate care, with training provided for specialized certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal & driver\'s background check.
• Valid CT driver\'s license, current registration, and auto insurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR & PMT certification preferred, but training will be provided.
• DDS Med Certification preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
• Implement individualized support plans and goals under the direction of the Residential Services Coordinator.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Document daily progress and any incidents or concerns in individual files.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.

Benhaven is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals in our Residential Services program. The Direct Support Professional will work with adults with developmental disabilities and autism in a residential setting to assist with daily living activities and provide support to help them live fulfilling lives.

DSP Residential: Part-Time (24 hours): Monday-Friday 8a-10a, Saturday 7a-9p

Responsibilities
