Job summary

Benhaven, Inc. in North Haven, CT is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our Residential Services program.

You will work with adults with developmental disabilities and autism in a residential setting, providing assistance with daily living activities and supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives. Positions include a Full-Time 30-hour schedule and a Part-Time 12.5-hour schedule, with shifts that include weekends and mornings/afternoons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism preferred
• Pass criminal & driver's background check
• Valid CT driver's license, registration, and auto insurance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPR & PMT certification preferred; training provided
• DDS Med Certification preferred; training provided

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
• Implement individualized support plans and goals under the direction of the Residential Services Coordinator
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities
• Document daily progress and any incidents or concerns in individual files
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members
• Attend trainings and meetings as required

Benhaven is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals in our Residential Services program. The Direct Support Professional will work with adults with developmental disabilities and autism in a residential setting to provide assistance with daily living activities and support to help them live fulfilling lives

DSP Residential: Full-Time (30 hours): Saturday 3p-9p, Sunday 3p-9p, Tuesday 7a-9:30a, Wednesday 7a-9:30a and 2p-4p, Thursday 7a-9:30a, Friday 7a-9:30 and 3p-9p

DSP Residential: Part-time (12.5 hours): Monday-Friday 7a-9:30a

Responsibilities:
