Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on the MK2 drone platform. You will build the OS, ensure security, reliability, and deliver via automated CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires deep work with Yocto BitBake, systemd, and headless embedded hardware. You will write and maintain .bb recipes, patches, and image configurations for robust drone software.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Embedded OS Engineer with a focus on Ubuntu-based Linux firmware.
• Experience with Yocto BitBake, image recipes, and BSP patches.
• Comfort working in headless embedded environments with no display.
• Ability to write robust scripts, automate CI/CD pipelines, and harden the OS.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the MK2 drone Ubuntu-based firmware stack.
• Develop and maintain BitBake recipes, patches, and image configurations.
• Optimize build times and manage Jenkins/GitLab pipelines.
• Implement OS hardening, post-processing, and security practices.
