Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build, secure, and ship a reliable OS through automated CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires deep knowledge of Yocto/BitBake, headless hardware, and low-level system internals, with experience shaping images, rootfs, and post-processing hardening.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux on headless devices.
• Strong knowledge of Yocto and BitBake workflows.
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines for firmware builds.
• Familiarity with debugging and root filesystem customization.

Responsibilities

• Own the Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform and ensure it is secure and reliable.
• Develop and maintain BitBake recipes and patches against the pinned BSP upstream.
• Harden the OS and manage post-build customization for production images.
• Tune Jenkins pipelines and artifact handling for concurrent builds.
• Configure systemd services, networking, and diagnostics tooling for headless devices.
