Job summary

Unknown is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build the OS, keep it secure, and ship it through automated CI/CD pipelines in a headless, embedded environment.

The role requires deep experience with Yocto BitBake, image recipes, and managing rootfs post-processing and OS hardening. You will work on Jenkins-based builds, optimize cross-compilation, and ensure reliability across distributed

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded OS development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Yocto/BitBake and image recipes.
• Experience with Linux firmware and headless devices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Linux firmware stack for MK2 drone.
• Develop and patch Yocto recipes and BSP layers.
• Tune and build images, optimize build times.
• Harden OS, perform security patching and post-build tasks.
• Configure Jenkins pipelines and artifact management.
• Collaborate on system configuration and telemetry integration.
