Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a trainer to educate delivery drivers on job duties, safety, and compliance. You will use company guides to observe performance and provide feedback for development, coaching new and existing drivers to ensure effective, compliant delivery operations.

Responsibilities include classroom and field training, ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and safety policies, and maintaining customer service standards while supporting overall department goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of driving experience.
• At least 2 years of route driving experience.
• Route delivery driver experience in foodservice distribution with knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication; uses systems and tools.
• Deep knowledge of DOT regulations (hours of service, pre-trip/post-trip) and safety policies.
• Delivers hands-on training to driver trainees while considering customer service, service times, and costs.
