Job summary

Dot Foods, Inc. is seeking an In-House Driver Trainer to prepare and conduct training programs for current drivers and new hires, supporting the Driver Training Program at all locations in this on-site role.

The position requires a Class A CDL with hazardous endorsement (or willingness to obtain), a safe driving record, and strong communication, planning, and teamwork abilities. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with hazardous endorsement or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign new drivers to trainers and monitor progress with Transportation management.
• Conduct recurrent accident and FHWA Hours of Service training.
• Maintain driver training curriculum and develop course materials and tests.
• Assist with pre-hire road trip evaluations.
• Coordinate OSHA driver power equipment training and certifications for compliance.
• Support job fairs, recruiting programs, and safety awareness in the community.
• Apply lean thinking to identify and eliminate waste in the position.
