Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Recruiter to act as the operational and relationship glue between clients and drivers. You will source, place, and retain qualified drivers and staff to ensure clients get the talent they need while drivers receive consistent, quality assignments.

You will own the full candidate lifecycle, build active pipelines, manage onboarding and compliance documentation, and coordinate redeployment to minimize downtime and protect gross profit across assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in staffing or light industrial/transportation.
• Strong phone presence and ability to build rapport quickly with candidates and clients.
• Comfort with high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environments.
• Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems and job board sourcing.
• Attention to detail for compliance and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and place qualified drivers and staff to meet client demand.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and drivers for long-term retention.
• Proactively manage driver redeployment to minimize downtime and protect gross profit.
• Monitor assignment performance and intervene early when issues arise.
• Ensure compliance documentation and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and timely.
• Partner with Commercial Managers to align recruiting capacity with growth goals.
• Maintain an active candidate pipeline through job boards, referrals, and outreach.
• Manage the full candidate lifecycle from initial contact through assignment start.
• Track and report on fill rate, time-to-fill, and retention metrics.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to capacity planning discussions.
