Job summary

USALCO is hiring a Driver Recruiter and Compliance Supervisor to drive end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of CDL drivers and Owner-Operators. You will coordinate with terminal managers, safety, and HR to meet DOT and customer requirements with strong attention to compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in driver recruitment, regulatory compliance, and onboarding, plus experience with FMCSA rules. This role offers collaboration across operations and HR and requires travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in driver recruiting, transportation operations, safety, or compliance.
• Experience recruiting CDL Class A Tanker & Hazmat drivers and Owner-Operators preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, CSA, and transportation industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle driver recruitment for assigned terminals and regions.
• Source CDL drivers and Owner-Operators via job boards, social media, events, and partnerships.
• Screen applicants to meet company, DOT, FMCSA, insurance requirements.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and terminal management.
• Maintain applicant tracking records and monitor hiring pipelines and open positions.
• Develop recruitment strategies to support growth and driver retention.
• Travel up to 30% as needed.
• Oversee driver qualification and onboarding to ensure all docs are complete before hire.
• Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQF) per FMCSA regulations.
• Verify CDL licenses, medical certificates, and MVRs.
• Manage pre-employment screenings including DOT drug testing and background checks.
• Ensure new hires complete orientation and compliance requirements.
• Maintain certifications, endorsements, hazmat credentials, and recurring compliance records.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and support audits and inspections.
