Job summary

Venture is seeking a Driver Manager to serve as the main liaison between the company and its professional drivers. You will oversee a fleet, drive performance, safety, and productivity while ensuring compliance with policy and enterprise goals.

Responsibilities include coaching drivers, maintaining plans, collaborating with planners, and ensuring timely communication of delays. The role requires DOT knowledge, leadership, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Requires strong leadership and communication to manage drivers and ensure safety.
• Ability to monitor metrics like revenue, miles, MPG, on-time delivery, and safety.
• Experience coaching, counseling, and disciplining drivers when necessary.
• Must maintain driver plans, load assignments, and documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Build trust-based relationships with drivers and understand their goals.
• Monitor driver performance metrics and ensure safety compliance.
• Coach and provide feedback; initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Ensure clear weekly plans and load assignments for productivity.
• Communicate delays and service issues to stakeholders.
• Maintain driver documentation and records in fleet systems.
