Job summary

Venture Logistics is seeking a Driver Manager to serve as the primary liaison between the company and its professional drivers. You will optimize operations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive performance across a fleet of drivers in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on coaching, planning, and collaboration with planning teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in transportation or logistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in transportation or logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with assigned drivers and understand their goals.
• Monitor driver performance metrics including revenue, miles per week, MPG, on-time delivery, and safety.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback; initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Ensure drivers have clear weekly plans and load assignments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of employee interactions per policy.
• Collaborate with Planners, CSRs, and Load Planners for efficient load assignments.
