Job summary

Venture Logistics, LLC is seeking a Driver Manager for the 2nd shift to liaison between drivers and support teams, ensuring efficiency, safety, and policy compliance. You will manage performance, plan weekly loads, and foster a collaborative environment.

The role requires 1+ year in logistics, strong leadership and communication, with DOT knowledge and a proactive approach to driver satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, trust-based relationships with assigned drivers and understand their goals.
• Monitor driver performance metrics including revenue, miles per week, MPG, on-time delivery and safety compliance.
• Provide coaching and feedback; initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Ensure drivers have clear weekly plans and understand load assignments to maximize productivity.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure confidentiality in communications.
• Collaborate with Planners, CSRs, and Load Planners to optimize loads and routes.
• Communicate delays or service issues to internal stakeholders; update ETAs and driver statuses.
