Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee account operations, aiming for profitability, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance. You will supervise salaried and hourly staff, handle payroll, and report P&L metrics to senior management. Collaboration with customers and suppliers is essential to meet service levels.

The role is based in Michigan with an annual salary of $80,000–$85,000 and a 10% annual bonus eligibility. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• 2+ years managing direct reports.
• Excellent knowledge of transportation and/or warehouse logistics operations (advanced).
• Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees under responsibility.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and meet demands.
• Be responsible for payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L to determine profitability and provide reports to senior management.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Hold Safety & Security meetings and provide safety training.
