Job summary

DO & CO is hiring a Driver Helper in Los Angeles to assist drivers with loading and delivery of goods, ensuring flights are catered correctly and that all vehicle checks and regulations are followed.

You will work outdoors in all weather, handle heavy loads up to 75 pounds, and undergo airport ID verification as part of daily duties within a hospitality-focused, globally active company.

Qualifications

• Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Requirements necessary to obtain airport ID.
• Must Pass a criminal background check.
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
• Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials.
• Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are catered correctly.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and report any irregularities to dispatch.
• Comply with airport, airline rules and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials
• Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are always catered correctly.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and reports any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
• Comply with all Airport and Airlines and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supportive Functions

• Maintain safety workplace
• Decimates general information to the public and other concerned parties regarding department policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The individual must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supply up to seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by co-workers
