Job summary

DO & CO AG in Los Angeles is seeking a Driver Helper to assist drivers with loading, unloading and delivery of goods. You will help ensure correct catering for flights and maintain vehicle readiness, following airline and company regulations and safety rules.

You may work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 75 pounds, and stand for long shifts. The role requires teamwork, punctuality and adherence to safety procedures in a global luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Requirements necessary to obtain airport ID
• Must Pass a criminal background check
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
• Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supply up to seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by co-workers

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and reports any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
• Comply with all Airport and Airlines and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of DO&CO.

• Decimates general information to the public and other concerned parties regarding department policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
• Other duties as assigned.
