Job summary

DO & CO is hiring a Dock Helper in Boston to support flight preparation and loading operations. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, working outdoors in all weather, and coordinating with dispatch and dock control for flights.

Candidates should be able to work on a team or independently, obtain an airport ID, and pass a background check. The position offers full-time hours and benefits including healthcare and meals.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control-related tasks on flights: add missing items, ice, and inform flight assembly of missing carts or bulk items.
• Move catering equipment and flights from staging to loading dock; assist with loading into vehicles.
• Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
• Requirements to obtain airport ID.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and in high temperatures.
• Stand, bend, lift, and move for 8+ hours.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Perform completing activities to ensure quality controlled flights such as, but not limited to: Add missing items, add ice, inform flight assembly of missing carts, canisters or bulk loaded items.
• Perform the movement of catering equipment (flights) from their respective staging area to the corresponding assigned loading dock as indicated by Dispatch or Dock Control. Perform the loading of flights into catering vehicles and assist drivers in doing so.
• Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Requirements necessary to obtain airport ID
• Must Pass a criminal background check
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
• Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by co-workers
