Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. in Lowell, Arkansas is seeking a Background Verification Coordinator I to ensure driver applicants meet hiring standards and DOT regulations.

Under routine supervision, the role reviews driver files and evaluates safety records, driving experience, employment, and criminal history. Responsibilities include communicating with applicants, internal teams, external employers, references, and government agencies to facilitate background screening, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in a fast-paced office or call center or military equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to provide effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with driver applicants, internal teams, external employers and partners, references, and government agencies to facilitate the background screening process.
• Communicate with J.B. Hunt internal and field operations regarding applicants before and during the hiring process.
• Calculate and qualify experience as well as safety to ensure applicants meet Company and DOT hiring standards.
• Review and update applications as needed with information verified throughout the screening process.
• Apply J.B. Hunt’s minimum hiring requirements to ensure we are hiring safe and qualified drivers.
• Work with the Quality Control department to ensure all qualifications have been met and the file is clear for hire.
