Job summary

JB Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Background Verification Coordinator I in Lowell, MA. Under supervision, you will review driver files and assess safety records, driving experience, employment history, and criminal records to ensure applicants meet hiring standards and DOT regulations.

You will liaise with applicants, internal teams, and government agencies to facilitate screening, verify data, and determine qualification dates, while supporting the hiring process and quality control reviews.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in a fast-paced office or call center or military equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to provide effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with driver applicants, internal teams, external employers and partners, references, and government agencies to facilitate the background screening process.
• Communicate with J.B. Hunt internal and field operations regarding applicants during the hiring process
• Calculate and qualify experience and safety to ensure applicants meet Company and DOT standards
• Review and update applications as needed with information verified throughout the screening process
• Apply J.B. Hunt's minimum hiring requirements to hire safe and qualified drivers
• Work with Quality Control to ensure all qualifications are met and file is clear for hire
