Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a driver/dock associate who will operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform non-driving duties such as forklift operation and dock work. The role requires CDL or CLP, solid MVR, and DOT compliance.

You will conduct safety inspections, secure freight, and handle freight with appropriate equipment, while maintaining accurate paperwork and customer communication. Starting pay is $25.64 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP).
• MVR must meet company hiring standards.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is required.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete required documentation and correspondence with dispatch.
