Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Driver to ensure safe operation of community vehicles and supervise residents during outings, in line with our mission and values.

You will assist with loading, follow laws, perform vehicle inspections, and support activity staff during events. Strong communication and a clean driving record are essential; the role requires a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement and a willingness to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear PPE to prevent spread.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off of community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving.
• Demonstrate safe driving in getting residents transported; observe speed limits and be punctual and safe.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

The Driver
