Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Part-Time Driver in Los Gatos, California. Shifts are Sundays and Mondays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a pay range of $23 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

This role focuses on safe driving of community vehicles and supervising residents during outings. The Driver may assist with setting up activities and events in the community while adhering to company mission and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving; demonstrate safe driving in transporting residents, observing speed limits while staying punctual.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
