Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and supervise team members. This exempt role requires strong leadership, cost control, and adherence to brand standards within a fast-paced drive-in environment.

You will recruit, train, schedule, and coach staff, manage open/close procedures, and optimize labor, food, and inventory while delivering high-quality guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and health/safety regulations.
• Proficient use of basic computer, math, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and manage staff.
• Plan and forecast labor, food, and inventory to optimize costs.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures and daily recordkeeping.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
• Maintain equipment and vendor performance; ensure policy compliance.
