Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead the drive-in’s operations and staff, ensuring a superior guest experience and adherence to standards. You will train, coach, and guide a team of assistant managers and crew, manage labor and inventory, and drive local marketing initiatives.

The role demands strong leadership, practical operations knowledge, and a commitment to safety and customer service, with regular hours, high weekly workloads, and performance accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience leading and coaching employees; ability to recruit, interview and hire.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and health & safety regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach and lead staff.
• Manage compensation, scheduling and performance per company guidelines.
• Oversee operations to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
• Handle opening and closing duties as needed.
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and oversee vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws and sanitation standards.
• Lead regular team meetings to align on standards and service.
