Job summary

Sonic, a SONIC Drive-In restaurant, is seeking a General Manager to lead and manage daily operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will oversee staff, scheduling, training, and adherence to food safety and company standards.

Minimum three years of restaurant management experience, a high school diploma, and strong leadership and communication skills are required. The role demands long hours, weekend work, and a focus on cost control and customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred – Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge/Skills: Labor laws, health and safety regulations, basic accounting, and guest service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage staff compensation levels per company guidelines.
• Oversee drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage opening/closing duties and guest/employee issues.
• Plan and forecast food, labor, inventory, and costs to maximize efficiency and quality.
