Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead our drive-in operations and staff. You will recruit, train, coach, and supervise the team to deliver fast, friendly service and a clean, safe guest experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory planning, cost control, local marketing, and maintaining equipment and records. Must be able to work 50+ hours weekly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws; health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, coach, lead staff.
• Manage compensation levels according to company guidelines.
• Oversee drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Plan and adjust food, labor, inventory to maximize cost-control and quality.
• Develop, implement, and manage local marketing and business performance actions.
• Ensure proper maintenance of drive-in and equipment; compliance with policies.
• Prepare operational reports and lead regular team meetings.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are followed.
