Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations in the United States. You will train and support Crew, Carhops and Supervisors, ensure food is prepared to standards, and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, payroll records, and compliance with labor laws while developing action plans to improve sales and market the Sonic experience with effective marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
• 2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day week with irregular hours, nights, weekends.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and health regulations.
• Strong leadership with effective verbal and written communication.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaches crew, carhops and supervisors; manages staffing.
• Directs staff to meet all food service standards.
• Ensures compliance with employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening/closing duties and schedules staff.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Develops action plans to improve sales and financial trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
