Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an General Manager to lead a team at a Sonic Drive-In restaurant. You will train, supervise, and motivate Crew, Carhops, and management staff to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain high safety and cleanliness standards.

You will open/close the restaurant, schedule staff, monitor inventory and costs, and drive sales through effective leadership and local marketing initiatives. Experience in fast-food management is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) and experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day workweek with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; familiarity with labor laws and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops; coach staff to meet standards.
• Direct daily drive-in operations to ensure food service meets quality and safety standards.
• Schedule employees and manage staffing within cost controls; monitor inventory and supplier orders.
• Review performance, payroll records, and operational reports; develop action plans for sales and financial trends.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and customer service initiatives.
