Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Streamwood, IL is seeking a proactive General Manager to lead daily operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll supervise crew, carhops, and management, train staff, and ensure food safety, quality, and service standards.

You’ll open and close the restaurant, optimize staffing and inventory, implement marketing plans, and resolve guest requests promptly while maintaining cost controls and compliant labor practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5 days with irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Knowledge of labor laws and health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew and management team.
• Direct scheduling and staffing to meet service standards.
• Ensure compliance with handbook, policies, and practices.
• Open/close restaurant and prepare operational reports.
