SONIC Drive-In in Chicago is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations, coach crew and management, and ensure safe, high-quality food and guest experiences.

You’ll open/close the restaurant, schedule staff, monitor inventory, manage costs, and develop action plans to improve sales trends while upholding SONIC standards. Strong leadership, communication, and compliance with labor laws are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Must work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day workweek guaranteed) including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task, follow directions, and work autonomously.
• Problem solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Willingness to adhere to SONIC appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsabilités

• Manages, trains, monitors, and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors inventory; places orders within cost control procedures.
• Completes payroll and employment records.
• Develops action plans to resolve unfavorable financial or sales trends.
• Develops and implements marketing plans.
