Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Kentucky seeks a General Manager to lead drive-in operations and staff, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and adherence to corporate standards. You will recruit, train, and develop a strong team, oversee opening/closing, and manage costs while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service.

This hands-on leadership role requires extensive restaurant management experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to motivate a diverse team to achieve performance

Qualifications

• Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred – Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, basic accounting and strong communication.
• Proactive leadership, multi-tasking, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage staff compensation per company guidelines.
• Oversee operations to deliver an optimal guest experience.
• Handle opening/closing duties and guest/employee issues.
• Forecast and manage food, labor, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Lead team meetings and maintain recordkeeping and reports.
• Develop and implement local marketing and business performance plans.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and compliance with laws.
