Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running the drive-in restaurant. You will train and guide Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops, and ensure food quality, safety and efficiency while delivering a great guest experience.

Key duties include opening/closing shifts, monitoring staffing and inventory, maintaining records, and upholding the restaurant's policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multi-task and solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet service standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Maintains documentation and records as required.
• Responds promptly and respectfully to guest requests and resolves complaints.
