Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in. You will train and coach Team Members, oversee operations, and ensure quality, safety and customer service standards are met.

Responsibilities include directing staff, scheduling, inventory checks, and handling guest requests. The role requires flexibility with hours and prior restaurant management or retail leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required.
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience required.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support other employees to ensure quality food and service.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operational standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Assist in administrative duties and records documentation.
• Reinforce customer service mentality and guest satisfaction.
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve complaints.
