Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Director to lead development and implementation of strategic initiatives across HDR geographies. The role collaborates with Market Sector and Regional leadership, client managers and Business Class Directors to drive top-line growth and market expansion.

The candidate will oversee multi-geo initiatives, develop relationships with senior client leadership, and guide pursuit activities, while contributing to HDR’s employee-owned culture and industry

Qualifications

• 15+ years in drinking water planning and engineering design, client development, and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional engineering registration.
• Experience in developing and managing strategic positioning and client relationships.
• Experience growing programs in new or competitive markets and writing compelling content from technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of drinking water market sector strategies across HDR geographies.
• Serve as Client Manager for key clients within the Sector and be active in the industry.
• Lead pursuit strategies, proposal development and interview preparation for drinking water opportunities.
• Promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients across all geographies and guide pursuit processes.
• Support regional and area leadership in project delivery, staff development, and QA/QC for successful outcomes.
• Participate in industry associations and help HDR grow market leadership.
