Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Business Development Director to lead strategy and growth across HDR geographies. You will coordinate with Market Sector and Regional leadership, pursue key opportunities, and guide client development initiatives for top-line growth.

Preferred candidates have 15+ years in drinking water planning/engineering, a PE registration, and a proven track record in sales strategies and staff development. Significant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Professional engineering registration.
• Strong client development and project management background.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of business strategies across HDR geographies.
• Serve as Client Manager for selected key clients and pursue select opportunities.
• Develop and deliver pursuit strategies, proposals, and interview prep.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients.
• Develop and nurture relationships with senior client organizations and industry partners.
• Support staff development, recruiting, and talent management.
• Provide Principal in Charge on key projects and ensure QA/QC in delivery.
