HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Director to lead development and implementation of strategies across HDR geographies. This role coordinates with Market Sector leadership, regional groups, and client managers to drive top-line growth and opportunity pursuit.

The position requires 15+ years in drinking water, a civil/environmental engineering background, and PE registration. Travel across multiple regions is expected and HDR emphasizes employee ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience in drinking water planning, engineering design, client development, and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.
• Professional engineering registration is preferred.
• Experience in development and management of strategic positioning and technical differentiation.
• Strong client relationship development and ability to win contracts in A/E/C.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate HDR and Water vision to become market leader.
• Serve as Client Manager for key Sector clients and be active in the industry.
• Lead pursuit strategies, proposals, and interview prep for drinking water opportunities.
• Promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients across geographies.
• Support international growth initiatives in Canada, UK, and Australia.
