Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Business Development Director to lead growth across HDR geographies. You will work with Market Sector leadership, client managers and directors to develop strategies, pursue opportunities, and expand HDR's drinking water services worldwide.

This senior role requires 15+ years in drinking water planning and engineering, a bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering, PE registration, and a proven ability to win high-value contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of drinking water market sector strategies.
• Serve as Client Manager for selected key clients and be active in the industry.
• Lead pursuit strategies, proposal development and interview preparation.
• Promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients across geographies.
• Support international growth with regional leadership and client development.
• Provide staff development and coordinate resource plans within the sector.
• Review contracts to ensure risk management and staffing excellence.
